Hot Tub pH Down lowers the pH levels in your hot tub water to reduce scale formation, equipment clogging, cloudy water and eye and skin irritation. High pH levels also reduce the effectiveness of sanitizers such as bromine or chlorine. Hot Tub pH Down is a dry powder that is completely soluble, allowing for immediate hot tub use.

Directions: One Capful holds approximately 30 grams

• When pH reading is above 8.0, add 60 grams of pH down per 1,000 litres of water. If pH readings is 7.8 - 8.0, add 30 grams of pH Down per 1,000 litres directly to the hot tub. Let water circulate for 1 hour and test again.
• Broadcast pH Down reducer over the hot tub water and leave hot tub cover off the spa for 15 minutes before closing the cover.

 Proper pH balance is an essential part of hot tub maintenance. The recommended range is 7.2 - 7.6. If the pH of your hot tub is high the water will be alkaline and the chlorine or bromine is prevented from doing its job since it combines with other materials in the water. The existence of this phenomenon is usually detected by a strong chlorine or bromine odour not found when the pH is in balance. The water tends to be cloudy and eye irritation may develop. Scale build-up may also begin to occur.
